Welcome to the Elderslie Amateur Radio Society

We are a small group of enthusiasts that meet every Thursday night to enjoy a variety of activities.

We are a very informal team, visitors are made very welcome and a cup of tea is always available!

A typical evening includes

Operating on air

Building projects

The club had a facelift recently, with new lighting, flooring, benches and electrical supplies with 2 isolation switches for each shack.

To go along with this we have retired our old R7 antenna and replaced it with a new Xiegu V4 4 band vertical and a 6 band cobweb, as well as a tri-band vertical for VHF and UHF. We took the opportunity to replace all the co-ax runs with M&P coax.

Morse training – we have equipment for multiple students to receive and send across the table and recently have started transmitting morse practice transmissions under the GB2CW programme

Recently we chased Marconi day stations, the bands were not great but we had a great day, some pics below of the operators in action
